Heute ist die Abreise nach Neuseeland geplant. Unser Flug geht allerdings erst abends, so haben wir noch einen weiteren Tag für die Erkundung der Stadt zu Verfügung. Wir entscheiden uns erstmal für eine Bootsfahrt in der Bay … mit Blick auf die uns mittlerweile schon vertrauten Wahrzeichen der Stadt, also noch einmal, diesmal von der anderen Seite… Ich habe das Gefühl alles schon 200 Mal fotografiert zu haben, heute deshalb weniger Fotos.

Today the departure to New Zealand is planned. However, our flight doesn’t start until the evening, so we have another day to explore the city. We decide to go for a boat trip in the Bay…. with a view to the now familiar landmarks of the city, once again, this time from the other side…. I have the feeling that I have photographed everything 200 times already, which is why there are fewer photos today.

Singapore Intensiv-Erlebnistag! Nachdem der Himmel gestern noch etwas bedrohlich aussah und es abends kräftig regnete, werden wir heute morgen von strahlendem Sonnenschein begrüßt. Erstmal die Reiseunterlagen studieren. In der Stopover-Buchung sind viele Sehenswürdigkeiten vorgeschlagen und kostenlos enthalten … nur welche davon sollen wir denn bloß in Angriff nehmen. Schließlich haben wir nur begrenzt Zeit und abhetzen wollen wir uns auch nicht.

Puuh! Nach 12 Stunden Flug sind wir heute morgen ca. 7 Uhr Ortszeit in Singapur angekommen! Nach unserer Zeitrechnung ca. um Mitternacht. Mit 30 °C und ziemlich feuchter Luft können wir uns schon jetzt kaum noch an den Winter vor 2 Tagen erinnern. Hop-off / hop-on haben wir im Schnelldurchgang schon einen Blick auf die Stadt werfen können, dabei sind uns beiden fast die Augen zugefallen … 24 Stunden ohne Schlaf … das stecken wir doch nicht mehr so leicht weg.
Singapur, eine westlich anmutende, pulsierende Großstadt … das ist unser erster Eindruck. Mehr dazu, wenn wir morgen, frisch ausgeruht die Stadt genauer erkunden.
Jetzt erstmal ein bisschen abhängen …

Puuh! After 12 hours flight we arrived in Singapore this morning at about 7am local time! According to our time in Germany, about midnight. With 30°C and quite humid air we can hardly remember the winter 2 days ago. Hop-off / hop-on we were able to take a quick look at the city, while almost falling asleep… 24 hours without sleeping… we don’t put that away so easily anymore.
Singapore, a western looking, pulsating metropolis… that is our first impression. More about this when we explore the city tomorrow, freshly.

Jede Menge Papierkram, Voucher, Reisebeschreibung, Hotelliste, Restaurant-Empfehlungen und noch so manch anderes. Da wird uns ganz sicher nicht langweilig… alles ordentlich abgeheftet, damit wir vor Ort einigermaßen durchblicken. Geschafft!
Lots of paperwork, vouchers, travel descriptions, hotel lists, restaurant recommendations and many more. We certainly don’t get bored… everything is now neatly filed away, so that we can have a good view on the spot. Done!

Ja, das habe ich natürlich geahnt … nun da es nur noch 12 Tage bis zum Abflug sind, gibt es plötzlich tausend Dinge zu erledigen. Zig Projekte sollten noch fertig werden, Rechnungen für November und Dezember sollten noch raus … wie bin ich nur auf die Idee gekommen, dass wir wirklich fast 4 Wochen Urlaub machen können. OMG und irgendwie sollten wir uns auch mental auf die Reise vorbereiten … Nächsten Sonntag vielleicht???
Yes, of course I guessed that… now that there are only 12 days left until the departure, there are suddenly a thousand things to do. A lot of projects are still to be completed, invoices for November and December are still to come out… how did I get the idea that we could really spend almost 4 weeks on vacation? OMG and somehow we should also mentally prepare for the journey…. Next Sunday maybe??
